Export of hydrogen from India is expected to reach $38.4 billion by 2026, falling by 4.4% year on year. This is a decrease from the 2021 figure of $49.2 billion. Since 2001, Indian supply has increased by 25.4% each year. India was ranked 37th in 2021, with Tunisia coming in higher at $49.2 billion. The Netherlands, Belgium and the United States came in second, third and fourth respectively in this ranking. In 2018, India's import of hydrogen fell to $9.0 billion from $11.1 billion in 2017, a decrease of 18.8% from the previous year. Since 1993, India's demand for hydrogen has fallen by 55.5%. India was ranked 81st in 2018, with Ghana coming in higher at $9.0 billion. Belgium, France and the Netherlands were second, third and fourth respectively in this ranking.
