Imports of hydrogen to the Netherlands are forecast to drop by 21.5% annually, from around $7 million in 2021 to nearly $1.9 million in 2026. This decrease follows a 14.7% year-on-year decline since 1997. In 2021, France was the largest exporter of hydrogen to the Netherlands, followed by Belgium and the Netherlands in second and third place, respectively. Exports of hydrogen from the Netherlands are expected to drop by 1.3% annually from 2021 to 2026, from around $47.6 million to nearly $44.8 million. This follows a 4.4% average year-on-year rise since 1997. In 2021, Canada was the biggest importer of Dutch hydrogen, followed by the Netherlands, Belgium, and the United States in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
