U.S. imports of naphtha for September 2021 totaled 66,000 metric tons, up 94.1% from the 38,000 metric tons imported in August 2021. On a year-on-year basis, imports were up 71.6% compared to the 38,500 metric tons imported in September 2020. Since the beginning of 2014, however, demand for the petrochemical feedstock has decreased by 2.8% year-on-year.
