India's beer production is projected to plummet to approximately 63,800 metric tons by 2028, a significant decrease from the 149,600 metric tons recorded this year. This marks a sharp annual decline of roughly 13.5% in the compound annual growth rate (CAGR). Historically, since 1966, India's beer supply has been on a downward trajectory, decreasing by an average of 8.7% each year. In the global ranking for beer production in 2023, India found itself at the 86th spot. Algeria surpassed India this year, also producing around 149,600 metric tons. Leading the global chart, the United States, Brazil, and Mexico occupied the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
