Uganda's natural rubber imports are set to reach $2.54 million in 2026, an increase of 4.2% annually since 2021. This is an increase of 3.5% since 1999. In 2021, Uganda ranked 62nd in the world with imports of $1.98 million. Croatia overtook Uganda with imports of $1.98 million. The United States, Malaysia and Japan came in second, third and fourth respectively. Uganda's natural rubber export saw an increase of 1,660% between 2017 and 2018, from $82 to $1.44 million. However, this is still 41.1% lower than 2007 levels. In 2018, Uganda ranked 82nd in the world with exports of $1.44 million. Botswana overtook Uganda, with exports of $1.44 million. Indonesia, Ivory Coast and Malaysia followed in second, third and fourth respectively.
