Egypt's exports of asbestos soared to over 210,000 kilograms in 2015, a dramatic increase from just 3,000 kilograms the year before. This made Egypt the eighth-largest exporter of asbestos in the world, lagging behind the US at the top spot. Kazakhstan, Brazil, and China followed as the second, third, and fourth-largest exporters respectively.
