Bolivian imports of asbestos dropped 3.8% in 2021, falling to about 880,000 kilograms from nearly 920,000 kilograms in 2020. Year-on-year, demand has declined since 1997 by almost 30%. Bolivia was the 18th-largest importer in 2021, overtaken by Zimbabwe, which imported 880,000 kilograms. China, Indonesia and Myanmar were the second, third and fourth-largest importers respectively.
