In 2021, the country was ranked 22nd in the world, with 1,380 kilograms of supply, trailing South Africa (1,380 kilograms). Kazakhstan, Brazil, and China took the second, third, and fourth spots in the ranking, respectively. Since 1998, Guatemalan demand for asbestos has grown by 45% year on year.
