Egypt, Kazakhstan, Brazil and China were the leading countries in asbestos imports in 2018, with 126,660, 66,200, 63,700 and 34,600 kilograms, respectively. Ivory Coast's imports were close to 1,000 kilograms in 2017, up 300% from 250 kilograms in 2016. Since 2012, however, the country's demand has decreased by 14.5% on a yearly basis.
