According to a report, the country's asbestos export is expected to reach 640 million kilograms by 2026, up 0.4% from 2021. Since 2001, Russian supply has grown by 1.1% year-on-year. Kazakhstan, Brazil and China rank second, third and fourth, respectively. In 2017, Russia imported just 27 kilograms of asbestos, down 99.9% from 43,200 kilograms in 2016. Since 2001, demand for asbestos has decreased by 84.5% year-on-year. The United States, Canada and Japan came in second, third and fourth in this ranking, respectively.
