The average person consumed 8.5 liters of water per day in 2018. People around the world drank an average of 8.5 liters of water per day in 2018, according to a new study. The study, which surveyed more than 1,000 people in seven countries, found that the average person consumed almost nine liters of water each day. In addition to the eight and a half liters consumed directly, a further 0.7 liters was consumed indirectly through food and other sources. The countries surveyed included the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom. People in the US drank the most, with an average of 11 liters per day. Canada was a close second with 10 liters. France came in third with 9 liters. The findings provide a valuable insight into global water consumption habits and the importance of water for health and wellbeing.
