In 2021, Ukrainian imports of asbestos were 1.57 million kilograms, a 61.3% decrease from the 4.05 million kilograms in 2020. Since 2001, demand has fallen 36.8% year-on-year. Belarus came in first with 1.57 million kilograms, followed by China, Indonesia and Myanmar. In 2018, exports of asbestos from Ukraine rose 75% to 5,250 kilograms, up from 3,000 kilograms in 2017. Ukraine was 18th in the ranking, with Uganda leading with 5,250 kilograms. Kazakhstan, Brazil and China came in second, third and fourth, respectively.
