Angola’s diamond exports are forecast to decline slightly, falling by 0.7% year on year on average by 2026. In 2021, the country’s diamond exports were valued at around $969 million. This placed Angola in 15th place in the global ranking, with China taking the top spot at $1 billion. The United States, Belgium and Israel were second, third and fourth respectively. In terms of imports, Angola saw a significant increase in 2017, with the figure reaching $11 million compared to $6 million in 2016. This represented an 83.3% year-on-year increase. However, over the past six years, the country has seen a 74.7% decrease in diamond imports.
