Exports of diamonds from the Netherlands are set to reach $6 million by 2026, a slight decrease of 7.3% since 2021 when they reached $9.3 million. Between 1997 and 2021, exports jumped by 7.6% per year. The Netherlands was ranked 32nd in 2021, while Malaysia took the lead with exports of $9.3 million. The United States, Belgium and Israel took spots two, three and four in the ranking. Imports of diamonds to the Netherlands are projected to reach $26 million by 2026, a decrease of 2.9% compared to 2021 when they reached $30.8 million. Since 1997, imports have declined by 3.3% per year. In 2021, the Netherlands was ranked 31st, with New Zealand overtaking them with imports of $30.8 million. The United States, Belgium and the United Arab Emirates were placed second, third and fourth in the ranking.
