Costa Rica is the world's largest producer of pineapples, with an annual output of 3.6 million metric tons. This is followed by the Philippines, Brazil and China. Suriname had the biggest year-on-year increase in production, rising by 30%, while Swaziland experienced the largest decrease, at 44.6%.
