German consumption of pineapples is set to reach 200,000 metric tons by 2026, down 0.8% annually from the 210,000 metric tons recorded in 2021. Since 2017, German demand has dropped by 1.1% year on year. In 2021, Germany ranked 25th in the world for pineapple consumption, behind Costa Rica, which consumed 210,000 metric tons, Brazil (number two), India (number three) and the United States (number four).
