Chinese demand for pineapple is expected to reach 2.24 million metric tons by 2026, up from 2.15 million metric tons in 2021. This represents an average annual growth rate of 0.7% since 2017. Brazil, India and the United States were the top three importers of pineapple in 2021. Meanwhile, Chinese pineapple production is forecast to hit 2.51 million metric tons by 2026, up from 2.25 million metric tons in 2021. This is an annual growth rate of 1.8% since 1966. Brazil led the pack in 2021, with 2.25 million metric tons. The Philippines, Brazil and China held the second, third and fourth spots in this ranking respectively.
