This is a 0.4% decrease from 2021, when the country ranked third in pineapple consumption at 1.6 million metric tons. Brazil was the top consumer in 2021, with the United States coming in fourth. Indian pineapple production, meanwhile, is estimated to increase by 0.8% to 1.9 million metric tons by 2026. This is despite a 1.6% decrease in production since 1966. India was the seventh largest producer in 2021, with Thailand in the top spot. The Philippines, Brazil, and China followed Thailand, respectively.
