In 2023, China led the global ranking in the total number of 10% top-cited scientific publications in Tourism, Leisure, and Hospitality Management, followed by the United Kingdom and Spain. China exhibited a remarkable year-on-year growth of 25.19%, underscoring its rising influence in this research domain. India and Vietnam also showed significant increases of 38.3% and 55.42%, respectively. Other countries with notable growth included Japan at 33.42% and South Africa at 37.23%. On the contrary, Canada and Mexico experienced declines of -11.32% and -13.37%, respectively, reflecting challenges in maintaining their research outputs.
