Mauritian pesticide consumption is set to reach almost 800 metric tons by 2026, according to the latest research. The market has grown by just 0.1% a year since 1995, when it reached its peak. In 2021, Mauritius was ranked 93rd in the world for pesticide consumption, with Fiji overtaking them at 792 metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Argentina held the top three spots in that ranking.
