British demand for pesticides is set to reach 27,810 metric tons by 2026, growing at an annual rate of 4.8%. This is significantly higher than the 203.4% year-on-year growth since 2012 when the country was ranked 12th. In 2021, Sweden overtook the UK, coming in first place with 20,870 metric tons, followed by Thailand, Germany and Taiwan. British consumption of pesticides is expected to fall 1.1% each year until 2026, reaching 17,210 metric tons. Since 1995, the British market has decreased by 0.9% year-on-year. In 2021, the country ranked 26th, with Vietnam coming in at 18,390 metric tons. In this ranking, the United States, Brazil and Argentina were in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively. British exports of pesticides are set to reach 437,980 metric tons by 2026, a 3.3% annual increase. This is a notable rise from the 9.8% year-on-year growth since 2012 when the UK was 4th, behind Saudi Arabia's 359,940 metric tons. Germany, Saudi Arabia and the UK were in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively in 2021.
