In 2021, Sweden was 11th in the world rankings, with the Netherlands overtaking at 41,510 metric tons. Thailand, Germany and Taiwan came in at numbers 2, 3 and 4, respectively. In 2018, Swedish pesticide exports fell dramatically to 3,610 metric tons from 30,340 metric tons in 2017, a drop of 88.1%. Since 2001, exports have declined 32.4% each year. In 2018, France overtook Sweden, with 3,610 metric tons. Germany, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom were ranked numbers 2, 3 and 4, respectively.
