The United States, Brazil, and Argentina ranked second, third, and fourth respectively. In 2018, Dominican pesticide imports dropped to 560 metric tons, from 1,890 metric tons in 2017, a decrease of 70.1% compared to the previous year. Since 2013, Dominican demand has dropped by 43.4% year on year. In 2018, the Dominican Republic was ranked 44th in pesticide imports, behind Mexico’s 560 metric tons. Thailand, Germany, and Taiwan ranked second, third, and fourth respectively.
