Cameroon is set to be the 46th largest consumer of pesticides in the world by 2026. This is up from its current position, as consumption is expected to reach 9,100 metric tons in that year - an average growth rate of 2.8% year on year since 1995. Nicaragua currently holds the 45th position with 7,720 metric tons of pesticide consumption in 2021. The top three consumers in 2021 were the United States, Brazil and Argentina with respective consumption levels of 135,000, 96,000 and 48,000 metric tons.
