Pesticide consumption in Greece is set to reach around 15,000 metric tons by 2026. This is an increase of 2.2% on average each year since 1995. In 2021, the country was ranked 32nd in the world, with Morocco overtaking it at 13,150 metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Argentina occupied the top three spots. Greek pesticide imports totalled 0.18 metric tons in 2021, a decrease of 31.7% compared to 2020. It has grown 114.8% year on year since 1997. In 2021, Greece was ranked 52nd, with Slovakia taking the lead at 0.18 metric tons. Thailand, Germany and Taiwan held the second, third and fourth spots respectively.
