In 2021, Iran was in 49th place for consumption, with Portugal overtaking at 6,860 metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Argentina held the top three spots. Meanwhile, Iranian pesticide exports are predicted to decrease by 4%, with an average year-on-year rate of 4.1%, to reach 7,490 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, India led the way at 9,510 metric tons, with Germany, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom following in second, third and fourth place respectively. In 2018, Poland was ahead at 0.06 metric tons, with Thailand, Germany and Taiwan taking the next three spots.
