Pesticide consumption in the country is expected to grow at a rate of 1.6% per year until 2026. In 2021, Cypriot pesticide consumption reached 1,400 metric tons, up from 1,270 metric tons in 2021. This figure is 14.7% higher than in 1995. Finland overtook Cyprus in 2021, consuming 1,270 metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Argentina ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Looking ahead, pesticide consumption in Cyprus is expected to increase at a rate of 1.6% per year until 2026.
