Pesticide consumption in Albania is set to increase in the next five years. In 2021, the country consumed 702 metric tons of pesticides, a 2.2% increase from the previous year. This growth rate has been consistent since 1995, when the country first started tracking usage. Albania was ranked number 94 in 2021, behind Mauritius which consumed 702 metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Argentina were the top three consumers, respectively.
