This upward trend has been consistent since 2013, with the market expanding by an average of 1.5% each year. In 2023, Slovakia held the 24th position in the European meat market rankings. Serbia narrowly edged out Slovakia with sales also around €1 billion. Leading the rankings were France, Spain, and Italy, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
