Czech pig production is set to decline by 4.2% year on year, from 338,420 heads in 2021 to 263,950 in 2026. This follows a 3.4% drop since 1998. Czech pork consumption is expected to increase by 0.6% year on year on average, from 501,000 metric tons in 2021 to 521,000 in 2026. This follows a 0.3% rise since 2017. The country ranked 26th in 2021, with Chile taking the lead at 501,000 metric tons. The United States, Russia and Vietnam followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
