Consumption of pineapples in Tanzania is forecast to reach around 370,000 metric tons by 2026, an increase of 0.3% annually on average since 2017. The country placed 17th in 2021, with Taiwan surpassing its consumption of 363,000 metric tons. Brazil, India and the United States respectively ranked second, third and fourth. Meanwhile, Tanzanian pineapple production is expected to reach 549,000 metric tons by 2026, a 2.2% year-on-year growth since 1966. In 2021, Tanzania placed 16th, with Venezuela exceeding its output of 481,460 metric tons. The Philippines, Brazil and China placed second, third and fourth respectively.
