Paraguay's pineapple consumption is predicted to rise to 69,000 metric tons by 2026, according to a recent survey. This is a 0.6% increase from 2021, when the country had 66,000 metric tons of consumption. Since 2017, Paraguay's demand has been decreasing at an average rate of 0.5% per year. In 2021, Iran surpassed Paraguay in pineapple consumption, with 66,000 metric tons. Brazil, India and the United States took the next three spots in the ranking. Paraguay's pineapple production is also projected to increase to 95,800 metric tons by 2026, a 1.9% average year-on-year CAGR. Since 1966, supply has grown at a rate of 6.2% per year. In 2021, Bolivia had the largest production, at 85,640 metric tons, while Paraguay was ranked 34th. The Philippines, Brazil and China came in second, third and fourth respectively.
