Pineapple consumption in Ecuador is expected to drop by 1.6% year on year CAGR and reach 52,030 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, Ecuador came in 45th place in terms of consumption, behind Nicaragua with 57,000 metric tons. The top three countries in pineapple consumption were Brazil, India and the United States. Meanwhile, Ecuadorian pineapple production is set to decrease by 7.8% year on year average rate to 41,560 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, the country was 38th in pineapple production behind Mozambique with 68,510 metric tons. The top three producers were the Philippines, Brazil and China. Since 1966, Ecuadorian supply has dropped by 10% year on year.
