North Koreans are set to eat one thousand metric tons of pineapples by 2026. That's the same amount they consumed in 2021, according to a recent study. Since 2018, demand for pineapples in North Korea has remained unchanged. Bosnia and Herzegovina has since surpassed the country to become the 113th largest consumer of the tropical fruit. Brazil, India and the United States ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
