This was up 0.7% year on year since 2017, ranking the country 47th in 2021. Poland overtook South Africa, with 49,000 metric tons. Brazil, India and the United States ranked second, third and fourth respectively. South African pineapple production is set to reach 108,530 metric tons by 2026, falling by 0.4% year on year average rate. Since 1966, South African supply has risen 4.7% year on year, ranking the country 31st in 2021. Panama came ahead at 111,280 metric tons. The Philippines, Brazil and China respectively ranked second, third and fourth.
