Senegalese cassava consumption is set to reach 284,000 metric tons by 2026. This represents a 0.8% yearly growth rate since 2021, when the country consumed 270,000 metric tons. This figure was the 36th highest in the world, with Chad coming slightly ahead at the same level. Indonesia, Ghana and Mozambique followed in positions 2, 3 and 4 respectively. Senegalese cassava production is set to reach 1.45 million metric tons by 2026. This is an average growth rate of 4% year on year since 2021, when the country produced 1.14 million metric tons. This figure was the 31st highest in the world, with Togo slightly ahead. The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Thailand and Ghana followed in positions 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
