Honduras is set to consume 17,000 metric tons of cassava in 2026, unchanged from 2021. Since 2017, Honduran demand has been rising steadily at 2% each year. Honduras ranks 56th in 2021, with East Timor at the top with 17,000 metric tons. Indonesia, Ghana, and Mozambique come in at second, third, and fourth place respectively. In terms of production, Honduras is expected to produce 29,790 metric tons of cassava by 2026, increasing slightly from 27,660 metric tons in 2021. This works out to a 1.3% annual increase since 1966. Mexico took the lead in 2021 with 27,660 metric tons, with Honduras coming in 62nd. The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Thailand, and Ghana follow behind in second, third, and fourth place.
