This stable demand has remained consistent since 2017, when Liberia took the 30th spot in the ranking. Cuba, Indonesia, Ghana and Mozambique took the top four spots, respectively. Meanwhile, cassava production in Liberia is expected to reach nearly 594,000 metric tons by 2026, with a 0.5% average annual growth rate. This is despite a 3.8% year-on-year decrease since 1966, when Liberia was 37th in the rankings. South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Thailand and Ghana took the top four spots, respectively.
