Cambodian consumption of cassava is set to reach 411,000 metric tons by 2026, according to recent estimates. This is a 0.3% year-on-year average growth rate since 2017. In 2021, Cambodia ranked 31st in the world, just behind Liberia which consumed 403,000 metric tons. Indonesia, Ghana, and Mozambique came in second, third, and fourth respectively. Cambodian production of cassava is also set to increase, reaching 18.2 million metric tons by 2026. This represents an average growth rate of 3.3% year-on-year since 1966. In 2021, Cambodia ranked eighth in the world, behind Brazil with 14.9 million metric tons. The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Thailand, and Ghana came in second, third, and fourth respectively.
