Emirati cassava consumption is set to reach around 7,300 metric tons by 2026. This represents an increase of 0.7% year-on-year from 2021, when the total was 7,000 metric tons. Since 2017, demand for cassava in the United Arab Emirates has remained unchanged. In 2021, the country was placed 62nd in the global rankings, while Jamaica overtook at 7,000 metric tons. Indonesia, Ghana and Mozambique were the top three, respectively.
