Since 1997, Chinese demand for cocoa has increased by an average of 0.6% each year. In 2021, China ranked 18th in cocoa imports, with India coming in at 1st with 30.3 million kilograms. The United States, Malaysia and Germany followed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively.
