Since 1994, Spanish demand for cocoa has grown steadily at a rate of 0.1% each year. In 2021, Spain was the world's eighth-largest importer of cocoa, behind France, which imported 111.4 million kilograms. The United States, Malaysia and Germany followed, in second, third and fourth place respectively.
