Sierra Leone's cocoa production is expected to grow by 0.4% by 2026, reaching 26,770 metric tons. This is 11.1% lower than its 1966 production levels. In 2021, the country ranked 13th in cocoa production, with 26,420 metric tons; Mexico overtook them with the same amount. Ghana, Indonesia, and Nigeria ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively. Sierra Leone imported 204.54 kilograms of cocoa in 2017, which was an 18.9% increase from the 172 kilograms imported in 2016.
