Beninese cocoa imports plummeted 97.9% to just 25 kilograms in 2018, compared to 1,170 kilograms in 2017. Since 2006, the country has seen a dramatic 58.3% decrease in demand year-on-year. In 2018, Benin was ranked 111th in cocoa imports, overtaken by Mongolia, which imported 25 kilograms. The United States, Malaysia and Germany were ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
