Bulgarian cocoa imports are on the rise. In 2021, the country imported 14.6 million kilograms, up 216.5% from 2001. This put Bulgaria in 22nd place globally - overtaking Ukraine. The US, Malaysia and Germany followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. By 2026, Bulgaria is expected to import nearly 20 million kilograms, growing at an annual rate of 4.7%.
