Brazilian exports of insulin are expected to drop 9.5% year-on-year by 2026, to just over 500,000 kilograms. That would be a steep fall from 2021's 907,000 kilograms, and a 1.7% yearly decline since 1994. Brazil was the seventh-largest exporter of insulin in 2021, behind the U.S. Meanwhile, imports of insulin to Brazil are expected to increase 1.8% year-on-year by 2026, to around 770,200 kilograms. That would be a slight rise from 2021's 691,000 kilograms, and a 1.1% decrease since 1994. In 2021, Brazil was the sixteenth-largest importer, behind Russia. France, Germany, and the U.K. came in second, third, and fourth, respectively.
