Chinese demand for insulin is set to reach 1.93 million kilograms by 2026, up 2.6% year-on-year on average from 2021's 1.68 million kilograms. The country ranked fifth in 2021, with the UK overtaking it at 1.68 million kilograms. France, Germany and the UK held the second, third and fourth spots, respectively. Chinese insulin exports are also set to increase, reaching 1.26 million kilograms by 2026 from 999,310 kilograms in 2021, growing 4.1% year-on-year on average. Since 1999, Chinese supply has risen 16.5% annually. In 2021, Brazil overtook the country, with India, Italy and Germany in the second, third and fourth spots, respectively.
