Barbadian demand for insulin is set to rise by 2% year on year over the next five years, reaching 28,420 kilograms by 2026. Since 2002, Barbadian demand has been increasing at an average of 6.3% year on year, and in 2021 the country was ranked 78th in the world. Tanzania overtook Barbados in 2021, with 25,460 kilograms of insulin. France, Germany and the United Kingdom respectively came in at second, third and fourth in this ranking. Barbadian export of insulin is also projected to grow by 1.9% year on year, reaching a total of 15,740 kilograms by 2026. Since 2002, Barbadian supply has risen by 7.5% year on year. In 2021, the country was ranked 27th in the world, with Australia taking the lead at 14,210 kilograms. India, Italy and Germany respectively were second, third and fourth in this ranking.
