Icelander insulin imports are set to drop by 6.8% a year over the next five years, to 1,330kg in 2026. This is significantly down on the 1993 figure of 2,050kg. In 2021, Iceland was ranked 109th, with Mongolia overtaking it. France, Germany, and the United Kingdom were the second, third, and fourth largest importers respectively. Iceland's insulin exports dropped 16.3% to 108kg in 2018, down from 129kg the year before. This put the country in 50th place, with Finland just ahead at 108kg. India, Italy, and Germany were the second, third, and fourth ranked exporters respectively.
