The demand for insulin in Ireland is set to grow over the next five years. Irish export of insulin saw a decrease in 2018, with 323 Kilograms compared to 505 Kilograms in 2017, a 36% drop from the previous year. Since 1998, Irish supply has increased by 20.9% year on year. Ireland was the 47th largest exporter of insulin in 2018, with Thailand overtaking with 323 Kilograms. India, Italy and Germany respectively were the top three countries in this ranking.
